On Friday 19th July we were treated to an exceptionally sunny day for the annual Later Life Summer Fair! After the torrential rain we experienced last year, everyone involved was grateful it was a dry affair!

Providing a mixture of information, support and retail stalls, the fair is organised to allow local residents to find out what’s happening in the local community whilst enjoying free taster sessions of activities and live music.

We were pleased to be joined by Amy Powell from Bristol Art For All for an art class and Marie Clifford offering a seated Zumba session on the stage which was such fun to watch!

Tara Baggott from Ruby Two Shoes provided fantastic live music all afternoon which had people singing along while enjoying tea and cake.

Lots of people said they found out about support they weren’t previously aware of and many mentioned new activities they had also discovered on the day, so we consider that a great success!

Money raised from the event will be used to pay for further events in the community organised by the Later Life Alliance, many members of which were present at the fair with information stalls.
