Later Life Alliance Line Dancing and Afternoon Tea

We were so pleased to support another Later Life Alliance event last week. Around 60 people gathered at Henleaze Trinity United Reform Church for line dancing and afternoon tea and it was such a fun time!

It was brilliant to see so many people get up and give line dancing a try, led by a fantastic teacher and her three helpers.

Everyone got to grips with the steps once we had remembered our left from our right and off we went dancing from side to side, with smiles all round. The steps were well explained and the teacher encouraging and although the hall was hot, the dancing continued until it was time to break for afternoon tea.

We were then treated to live music from a quartet which was absolutely lovely. Everyone enjoyed the abundance of food on offer. Home made sandwiches and cakes went down very well after all of the effort put in to the dancing!

After the break, the dancing continued with more steps being added to everyone’s repertoire.

It was a brilliant event and the feedback was fantastic. 73% of respondents reported meeting new people, 58% tried a new activity and 67% want to do something similar again. We had lots of lovely comments saying what a fun afternoon it was.
