Reducing Loneliness and Isolation in North-West Bristol

Welcome to the Harold Stephens Community Fund page, dedicated to fostering strong community ties and addressing social isolation among older adults in North-West Bristol. At Harold Stephens, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those who are vulnerable to loneliness through targeted funding and support.

Our Commitment to the Community

At Harold Stephens, we recognise the crucial role that community plays in enhancing the quality of life.

Our Community Fund aims to reduce loneliness and social isolation among older people in North-West Bristol by providing small grants to local organisations and individuals. These grants of up to £500 empower recipients to implement projects that foster social connection and enhance wellbeing.

Our mission is to make Bristol the best later-life community in the UK. By focusing on grants that reduce loneliness, we aim to positively impact the physical and mental health of residents.

Why a Community Fund?

A community fund serves as a financial resource dedicated to addressing specific social, environmental, or economic challenges within a defined region. By investing in initiatives that create positive change, the fund helps improve the quality of life for community members.

Objectives of the Fund

Our fund aims to:

·        Reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.

·        Enable people to try new activities.

·        Increase opportunities for social connections.

·        Improve accessibility to community events.
